This web site not only displays history of a town we all love, it has its own history as well.

Hi, my name is Bradley SaintJohn, and if you haven't guessed it I am, the 1st Grandson to Millie and John Fair, Ocean Falls Residents - past. I am also the Creator and Curator of OceanFallsMuseum.com

It wasn't till '99 that I met my wife and she taught me how to turn on/off a PC, and she should have emphasized the off aspect. At that time there was no Google, and the search engine that I used was called "The Web Ferret". I often searched for information of Ocean Falls, and never found any thing. One thing that I wondered, was my Grandpas house still there, and if it was, I always hoped to live in it. After 3-4 years of this I gave up looking, and proceeded with life, which included building websites, and at first they were not pretty.

Then recently I came to possess a small number of boxes with memorabilia, and felt that a digital museum was in order for Ocean Falls. Shortly thereafter I found the Yahoo Group which has been around for almost a full year before I even turned on a PC.

I have great and large plans for OceanFallsMuseum.com. To start it is a place for folks to come and reminisce, for others to come and learn what it was to be Rain People. To learn the special camaraderie that was the life's breath of Ocean Falls. I'm sure there were unenviable moments as well, yet these seem not to surface much at all.

It is my hope to return to Ocean Falls and digitally document everything that is available, and as some have indicated that is a large task. Also many folks have personal photos in their position that are of great interest. Day to day life, in front of a Christmas tree, activities in the front or back yards, in living rooms. Some think their photos are to personal. I say respectfully, that 70 years from now these same photos will be filled with unknown people, and then the personal aspect will not exist.

As long as there is an internet this site will be available.

There is so much to do, and it takes time and money. I have been inclined to not have a page like this. But for those who would be inclined, there should be a FRIENDS OF OCEAN FALLS MUSEUM. This is not a society, and there are no board of directors, so one may well ask where is the accountability. So if one were to donate to the cause of this site, there will be a page set up with at least the initials and a reference number, of a donator, along with the amount donated. This way if one donates and does not see a reference to it, then they will know some thing is amiss.

There are equipment needs, 1 quality large scanner with slide ability, a large external hard drive. Hosting costs a small amount. All of which I am willing to foot the bill for, as my passion for this project dictates.

As stated I am willing to do this alone, but felt for those that would be inclined to, there needs to be an avenue to help. Thank-You so much for letting me know that you enjoy this site in your many emails.

Bless Your hearts and Bless Your Souls.
